Sample Prayer of Surrender for Healing:

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with an open heart, acknowledging that I need Your grace and healing. Lord, if any of the attitudes or struggles from what I’ve read resonate with me—if I have judged others, clung to pride, or sought approval through works rather than Your love—I ask for Your forgiveness. I surrender these areas of my heart to You now.

I admit that I cannot fix myself or others through my own strength, and I renounce any tendency to rely on my righteousness or achievements. I lay down any critical spirit, self-righteousness, or inability to receive correction. I choose humility, and I desire to be led by Your Spirit in all things.

Jesus, You are my example of grace, love, and truth. Help me to walk in Your footsteps, with a heart full of compassion, patience, and understanding for others. Help me to see people as You see them. Teach me to trust in Your finished work on the cross, and not in my own efforts.

Lord, cleanse my heart of any religious spirit or legalism that may have taken root. I invite You, Holy Spirit, to work in me, transforming me from the inside out. Heal me where I have been wounded, and break off any unhealthy mindsets or beliefs. Fill me with Your love and truth, that I may live in the freedom You died to give me.

I surrender completely to You, trusting that You will continue to work in my life. I ask You to mold me into the person You’ve called me to be. May my heart and life reflect Your grace, Your love, and Your truth. Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and for never giving up on me.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
