ENCOUNTER THE ONE WHO SEES YOU AND HEARS YOU
One day I received yet another email from a woman who was struggling with anxiety and depression. She was looking for hope and had heard bits and pieces of my story but wanted to hear more. Her email resonated with me deeply, reminding me of my own journey from burnout and paralysis to healing and freedom. I sent back to her a short write-up of that previous chapter of my life and how God healed me.
Soon afterwards, while at a worship night, a woman walked over to me and said she had a vision of me being woken up early in the morning by the Lord and I would go sit in a room of windows writing a book or manual that would change the lives of many people, bringing them into greater freedom. Not too long afterwards, on a Father’s Day Sunday, the Lord woke me up at 3:30am and I found myself in my solarium (room of windows) writing 55 pages. Fast track to today: These completed pages now in a book capture the incredible power of God’s transformation both in my personal life and the lives of many of my students and clients.
Much of the larger church today believes God is passive, distant and uninvolved in our lives. This prevailing view sees God as merely a religious figure, disconnected from our day-to-day struggles and dreams, lacking in any desire to intimately connect with us.
But is that really the truth?
My life both personally and professionally shows otherwise.
I witness daily that God is not only present but actively desires to journey with us, to guide and empower us in overcoming the challenges and obstacles we face. He is waiting to be invited to journey with us, to coach us along the way and give us keys to trample on the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus, the Life Giver, is with us and has truly handed us the keys of the kingdom, keys to eternal life as Jesus demonstrated and taught.
As a Christian Life Coach and Spiritual Director, I have witnessed the tangible presence of God in the lives of countless individuals. Through my experiences and training, I have developed a deep understanding of the power of encountering God and how it can lead to transformation and freedom.
Additionally, I have had the privilege of coaching individuals from various backgrounds through their own wilderness journeys into healing and restoration.
People everywhere are hungry for more of who God truly is. They long for a heart to heart connection with an active God who loves to be with them, protect them, and provide for them. They long for direction for their life and relationships. They long for their heart’s cry to be heard.
In this book, I vulnerably share my story, from ashes into beauty, from burnout and paralysis to walking in freedom, as well as the stories of many whom I have been coaching in multiple countries around the world. These beautiful stories are from parents, medical professionals, ministry leaders and passionate women hungry for more. We all began to say ‘yes’ to God to move us ‘out of the box’.
