Following and Trusting : Encountering God Out of the Box

This nugget has come up several times in the last few days with numerous people.

Our sin and gifting come from the same drive, but it’s where we look that determines whether we are in sin or walking in our calling.

Below is a reflection given in April 2023 in Augusta, Georgia which includes this key point above. Confession: when I re-watched this video, I got goosebumps. The presence of the Lord was very tangible this night and I cherish this time with the men and women of 143 Ministries a recovery ministry). It was an honour to be in this atmosphere with them.

…and I then lead them through a group encounter in hearing God.

Afterwards, several came to share with me what the Lord had given them and I continued to receive personal messages and stories for months afterwards. The hunger of the men and women was a fresh breath of freedom for me too.

Years ago, while I was in my own kind of recovery, I would drive almost an hour weekly to worship with men and women in recovery.

When men and women, who are desperate and thirsty for God, come to gather and worship Him, the heavens open.
