Why Prayer Malfunctions

“Probably the number one reason why prayer malfunctions in the hands of believers is that we try to turn a wartime walkie-talkie into a domestic intercom. Until you know that life is war you cannot know what prayer is for. Prayer is for the accomplishment of a wartime mission…But what have millions of Christians done? We have stopped believing that we are in a war. No urgency, no watching, no vigilance. No strategic planning. Just easy peace and prosperity. And what did we do with the walkie talkie? We tried to rig it up as an intercom in our houses and cabins and boats and car – not to call in fire power for conflict with a moral enemy, but to ask for more comforts in the den.”

  1. this has been such an enlightment for me. my greatest goal has always been to be a mighty warrior n Christ. ive takin my first wholeheartedly step into faith recently and knowing this very goal can b accomplished in my everyday life has truly given me the very strength i’ve needed to walk in the path that God has had for me all along. A rebellous soul is extremely hard to fight but knowing that that very feeling is a war within itself gives me courage beyond what i could have ever imagined inside of self. this war to me realisiticly means a fight between mind and heart, good vs evil. i thank god for the realization of this very message, and i thank u for being his vessel.
