Val Thiessen is a wife to Stan, mom of 3 boys, 3 daughter in laws and grandma to 7 grandchildren. She has loved Jesus her whole life but has come to know him in a new and much more intimate way as she has learned how to truly receive his powerful love and how to have two-way conversations with him. Listening for his voice in this often noisy world has been transformational.

Val’s passion is to help both children and adults develop a deep friendship with Jesus and connect with him in new ways. You will often hear her say, ‘Life with Jesus is just the best!’

In her book, join Grandma and her grandson, Joey, as they share a beautiful bedtime story. Grandma tells Joey of a time when Jesus met her on the bench in her heart and how that led to gratefulness, friendship and feelings of love and acceptance. She then leads Joey to meet Jesus on a bench in his own heart where he also experiences the love of Jesus in new and surprising ways.

An interactive story that helps both parent and child move past just knowing about Jesus to encountering him for themselves.

This heartwarming story reminds us that Jesus is never too busy for a chat and he is always ready to listen. Grandma and Joey’s story will inspire both young and old to pursue a deeper friendship with Jesus.
