Jesus Never Rushed

There are No Emergencies in the Kingdom of Heaven

Have you ever been caught in a whirlwind of panic? The phone rings, the email comes through, the unexpected bill arrives, or the diagnosis drops—and suddenly your chest tightens and your thoughts spin out of control.

We call it an emergency.

But here’s the truth: There is no such thing as an emergency in the Kingdom of Heaven.

God Holds the Beginning and the End

Why? Because God doesn’t just see the end from the beginning—He is both the beginning and the end.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.”

Revelation 21:6 NIV

Our moments of panic are not surprises to Him. The things that rattle us don’t rattle Him. From His eternal perspective, the path has already been laid, the outcome already secure, the victory already won.

Jesus Never Rushed

Look at the life of Jesus.

• When Lazarus was sick, Jesus delayed two more days before going to him (John 11:6). Why? Because He saw beyond the crisis to the greater glory of resurrection.

• When the disciples panicked in the storm, Jesus slept in the boat (Mark 4:38). Why? Because He knew His Father’s authority over the waves.

To us, these felt like emergencies. To Heaven? Opportunities for God’s power to be revealed.

Our Invitation: From Panic to Peace

When life throws us into “urgent” mode, we have a choice:

Will we react out of fear?

Or will we pause, breathe, and ask, “Lord, where are You in this?”

Isaiah 26:3 reminds us:

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

Peace doesn’t come from control; peace comes from trust.

Listening Prayer Activation

When the next “emergency” hits, pause and pray:

• Jesus, how do You see this situation?

• What part of Your unshakable nature do You want me to lean on right now?

• Lord, remind me where You are at work in this moment.

• What promise from Your Word do You want me to cling to?

As you listen, let His perspective replace your panic.

Final Thought

There are no emergencies in Heaven. Only purposes unfolding. Only promises being fulfilled. Only a Father who already knows the end—and holds you securely within it.

So today, take a deep breath.
The Alpha and the Omega is writing your story.
