This past July’s ministry adventure in Belize was once again a beautiful tapestry woven by God’s hand. Our team, united and vibrant, experienced the power of His presence in a way that deeply impacted both us and those we served.
Throughout the trip, we felt God moving through every interaction, in the events for the children and women, and prayers lifted. It was a journey of healing, restoration, and divine connection. The unity of our team was a testament to God’s promise in Romans 11:36, “For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.”
Some of my favourite highlights of Belize 2024:

Team Unity and Roommate Pairings:
The unity among our team was incredible! Jesus-centered, positive, and synergistic, we all connected deeply. Roommate pairings, such as Bobbie and James (married LOL), Keleigh and Faith (mother and daughter), Sarah and Dorthy (Canadian and American) and myself with Sue (Canadian and American), were perfectly aligned. Diane enjoyed times with her daughter and family too! Our rich times of connecting in our rooms and as a larger team were some of the highlights.
Prayer and Worship:
One of our favorite moments was the team prayer and worship in the chapel area before participants arrived. These were sacred times where we prepared our hearts for what God was about to do.
Ideal Facility:
The facility we stayed at was ideal, providing the perfect environment for us to serve and rest. We appreciated the planning too of the kids and teens’ schedules, which included a day of training leaders beforehand.
Kids and Teens Hearing God:
We were in awe as we watched the kids and teens hear God speak. The unexpected blessing of a young lady from Mexico, who translated for both the kids’ camps and the women’s event, was a testimony to God’s divine appointments. She too was impacted by God’s voice and is eager to take what she learned back to Mexico.

Art Teacher’s Transformation:
A local art teacher joined us, and her heart was deeply moved by the activities that involved hearing God through art. She expressed a strong desire to incorporate these lessons into her future teachings with kids.
Pathfinders’ Encouragement:
The letters of encouragement for the teen leaders, called Pathfinders, were received with deep emotion, deeply encouraging their hearts. We learned that the returning leaders still re-read previous letters from the 2 years since. They are cherished words from heaven.
2-Day Women’s Event:
The added women’s event (first time this year) created a space for the women to connect with God and each other. They shared their stories of God faithfully speaking and leading them through trials, which was powerful and vulnerable. Women from our team led the women to hear God through prayer, Scriptural art and music. We look forward to this new event taking further root in the hearts of the women.

Divine Appointments:
Even in our resting times and outings, we experienced divine appointments that reminded us of God’s ever-present work in our lives. I unexpectedly found myself leading a Belize leader in a coffee shop to encounter Jesus in order to pray for a family member. She reported a shift immediately in that person when she returned home!
Amazing Partnerships:
The partnership with Caitie, Cahlie, Katherine, Sheralyn, Olivia, Bethany, Diane, Heather, and Joey, along with the whole team, was a blessing. Watching the teen leaders bless each other and their leader Caitie was a testament to the love and unity we shared.
Joey and Heather’s Dedication:
Witnessing the love of Joey and Heather, Co-Directors of the Camp, for the people in the community, once again filled our hearts with joy and gratitude.
Looking Ahead:
As we moved to and from the various camps, to leadership out trips, and eventually back home to Canada and the US, we saw God’s blessings raining down on us, drenching us in His goodness, mercy, and joy. His stories continue to unfold as we share our experiences with our families, friends, and communities back home.
Looking ahead, we sense that God is preparing us for a season of increased intensity—a crescendo where each member of our team, like a finely tuned instrument, will come together to create a masterpiece for His glory. We’re excited to see how He will continue to move in and through us, bringing His love to even more places and people in the future.
Thank you, Lord, for this incredible journey and for allowing us to co-create with you. We’re ready and willing for wherever you lead us next!
