In the journey of spiritual warfare, it’s easy to become fixated on the actions of the enemy. We may find ourselves consumed by thoughts of casting out demons, battling darkness, and constantly watching for signs of attack. Yet, in our fervor to combat the enemy, we risk losing sight of the true source of power and victory.
When our focus shifts to the enemy’s tactics, we open the door to fear and anger. Instead of standing united, we may find ourselves pointing fingers at our own brothers and sisters. It’s a dangerous path that leads to division and discord within the body of Christ.
But what if we shifted our gaze?
What if, instead of fixating on the enemy’s movements, we turned our eyes to God? What if we viewed the world through His perspective, allowing His Spirit to guide our prayers and actions?
When we align ourselves with God’s vision, we see the world in a different light. We recognize that His power is far greater than any force of darkness. We understand that even in the midst of chaos and confusion, God is at work, bringing beauty from ashes and transforming the most unlikely circumstances.
Consider the example of Jesus.
Born in a humble stable amidst the stench of animals, Jesus entered the world in the most unlikely of circumstances. Yet, it was in that messy stable that the Savior of the world took his first breath. And when He breathed His last on the cross, it seemed as though darkness had won. But in that moment of apparent defeat, Jesus emerged victorious, shattering the chains of sin and death forever.
God has a way of turning the most dire situations into opportunities for growth and transformation. Like a skilled gardener, He takes the refuse of life and turns it into fertilizer for His purposes. Even in the midst of hardship and struggle, His Spirit is at work, cultivating His fruit within us.
So let us not be consumed by fear or anger. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Let us partner with the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to lead us in prayer and action. And let us trust that, no matter how bleak the situation may seem, God is working all things together for our good.
In the end, it’s not about what the enemy is doing—it’s about what God is doing. And when we align ourselves with His purposes, there is nothing that can stand against us.
